We are proud to show some sketches of the new GUI (still in beta):
and this is the list of main changes:
- Added a new type of button, called “flat button”. This button will replace the default berry button and give us a better controll on look and feel.
- Cleaned up the header bar from those informations that are not inportant. Now it looks clean and readable.
- On devices with trackball/trackpad/trackweel we have added a menu item for each of actions associated with a screen. On these devices we have also removed the top toolbar that confusing users. This is becouse the menu is available to users immediately, regardless of the position of the cursor on the screen. Buttons are static and require users to highlight the button in order to perform the associated action.
- On devices touchscreen we have added a bottom bar as shortcut for the most used actions.
Holding a finger on an item in the bottom bar, displays a tooltip that describes the action that the icon represents.
