The next release of WPAndroid adds support for the ‘Holo’ theme for devices that are running 3.0 or higher. @daniloercoli, I’m curious what the app looks like on the BB 10 platform. Does it have the ‘Holo’ theme or does BB use a different theme?

We submitted for review the version 2.2.4 of ‘WordPress for PlayBook’ yesterday morning, and now it’s already available for download on the RIM AppWorld.

What’s new in version 2.2.4:

Thai language support added
Fix for loading all pages
Post title added when viewing a comment
Images now link to themselves to better support image lightbox plugins
Fix for duplicate image uploads
Added support for BlackBerry 10 Devices

We’ve even released the binary package for the new BB10 devices. If you’re a lucky owner of one of those prototypes, let us know what do you think about the app.

Research In Motion is pleased to inform you that release ’1.6.5′ of your product ‘WordPress for BlackBerry’ has been approved.

What’s new in version 1.6.5:

Fixed an issue where stats could not be loaded on some Jetpack sites.
The app now remembers the previously opened blog.
Removed the support for the AtomPub protocol since it will be removed in WordPress 3.5.
Performance and reliability improvements.

We also added a small patch for the picture uploading issue that some people are still experiencing on WordPress.com.

The new version of the PlayBook app has hit the AppWorld, bringing with it new features, and reliability improvements!

What’s new in version 2.2:

Featured image support
New stats view
Performance and reliability improvements
Added Korean language support
Updated Swedish, Hungarian and Catalan translations
Fixed stats not connecting properly for certain self-hosted blog configurations

Depending on your region or country, you may not see the latest version in BlackBerry App World yet. However, the new release should be available for download on your device starting today.

I’ve published the src code of a proof-of-concept WordPress app for BB10 devices here: bit.ly/P1HB0B
I’ve used the WebWorks framework for BB10 (beta2), the bbUI.js toolkit, and a JS library I wrote some time ago for the communication layer. It’s just an experiment, but it looks promising… Ref: http://dev.blackberry.wordpress.org/2012/07/21/bb10-alpha/#comment-997

If we have time, and with the help from other devs, we could use it as starting point for a full featured native BB10 app, but at the moment the Android porting is still the “Official” app for BB10 devices.

The new version of the BlackBerry app has hit the AppWorld, bringing with it reliability improvements, a new ‘In-App’ browser component, and shortcuts to FAQs.

Another good news is that I’ve tested the app on a BlackBerry 10 Alpha, and it worked very well.
An alpha version of the BlackBerry app compatible with the new BlackBerry 10 Alpha device will soon be released on the AppWorld.

WordPress for Blackberry 1.6 has been downloaded 20.417 times in a week.
WordPress for Playbook has been downloaded over 20.000 times since February 2012.
